Ph.D. Students

We currently have openings for 1-2 Ph.D. students (including financial support) with research interests in human factors, ergonomics, and wearable sensing technologies. Best candidates should have previous research experience in human-subject experiments and be familiar with statistical analysis using software packages (e.g., R, SPSS, etc.) as well as programming languages (e.g., Matlab, Python, etc.). Students with educational backgrounds including Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Computer Science are encouraged to apply.

In order to be considered for the position, all students must submit an official application to the Ph.D. program in Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISE). Master's Students, Undergraduate Students

Motivated master's or undergraduate students who are already enrolled at Virginia Tech can work in the lab for research credit (ISE 2994 or 4994) or as paid research assistants. We hire multiple graduates and undergraduates to assist with human subjects data collection and data analysis during the academic year and in the spring/summer months.
